Archery Performance Rating
A practical split between “how good was this round?” (Event APR) and “how strong is this archer over time?” (published rating).
Each accepted scorecard produces an Event APR number for that round, bow style, target face and distance. It is derived from the arrow score distribution, then adjusted where required (e.g. weather conditions, shorter distances, etc.)
Event APR is not the same as the leaderboard number by itself: it is the ingredient that feeds the time-weighted rating model.
Published ratings combine many Event APR values over time using aged decay and a Glicko-style update (uncertainty focuses with more data). That is what you see on the leaderboard.
APR does not replace World Archery classification, national team selection, or coaching judgment. It is a transparent, repeatable performance index built from submitted results on defined rounds.
